Whether you’re new to the area or have made the Highland Terrace Neighborhood your home for years, we welcome and urge you to be a member of the HTNA. This year our goal is to have 500+ members! Your household can be a member for just $15 per calendar year and the benefits of being a member are many.
The HTNA hosts social gatherings such as spring and fall picnics, Easter egg hunt, and the 4th of July celebration. In addition, your $15 membership dues help us to beautify the neighborhood medians and offer recognition for beautiful yards and seasonal decorations. All of which helps each of us to keep our property values up!
The HTNA keeps members posted on activities of the City Council and City Planning Commission and improvements to the infrastructure in our neighborhood, in addition to activities and situations that may affect just one or two streets within our boundaries. Members can also work to have a Crime Watch active on their street, which makes for an overall safer neighborhood. Also, only HTNA members will receive future newsletters throughout the year.
As neighbors working together, we can accomplish more than each of us can alone. With our goal of 500+ members, we will have a better chance of having our voice heard in Richardson, and we can take a proactive stance in the way we want our neighborhood to evolve and change. HTNA members have the opportunity to work with various committees and boards within the city as well as with the City of Richardson employees to get things done that benefit us as a neighborhood.
Everyone wants a safe and pleasant environment in which to call home, the Highland Terrace Neighborhood Association works hard to make this neighborhood just that, but we need your help as well. We need your membership. If you have already submitted your application and check, thank you! We appreciate your involvement and support of our neighborhood.
