"Helping instill in our students a heart to serve all those around them"

kindness matters!
Community Information
Terrace Elementary just kicked off an Act of Kindness Fundraiser (Monday, Feb 3rd). Through this Fundraiser, our students will be "paying it forward" and spending time focusing on doing Acts of Kindness around our community and asking for donations from friends and family, instead of our students spending all their time selling things (like cookie dough, etc). We love the fact of helping instill in our students a heart to serve all those around them, knowing that they can make a difference instead of just being little salespeople! : ) We hope many of our neighbors will see our students out and about, helping clean up trash at the park, taking out an elderly neighbor's trash, etc.

We do have a large dollar goal as well for our school, as we are wanting to dream a little bigger and use these funds for some much-needed shade on our playgrounds and carpool lines (as you know this Texas heat can be brutal and these kids need to play!) Plus, this would be something that our HTNA neighborhood community would enjoy as well - so many neighborhood kids/grandkids play on those playgrounds during summer and on the weekends.

A little more info about Raise Craze:
This is a unique way for us to raise money for our school while making an impact in our community. During this fundraiser, students ask friends and family for donations via the online Raise Craze platform while paying it forward serving others. It is a great way for us to teach our students the importance of kindness and gratitude while raising much-needed funds. Students will spend time serving, not selling! So that's just a quick overall summary of what our school is doing.

This Fundraiser officially ends February 19th!
