Wow the year is going fast!

What a wonderful 4th Of July celebration! Thank you all for coming out to support our neighborhood.  Thank you to the entire board for that participation and help with all the events.  But I would like to include a very special thank you to all the City Council Members that came out of their way to stop by to visit our neighborhood event.  It was a great time to let the kids play, check out the park updates, visit with city council, and enjoy some wonderful watermelon! I love our neighborhood!

Now for some quick housekeeping.

We are exactly at 1/2 the number of members we had last year! Please invite your neighbors and if your name is not on the list, please make sure and join or renew.  Our new Membership Chair should be sending out an email renewal reminder soon.  Be on the lookout for that email.  It will only go out to those that have not yet paid for the year.

Lastly, from our Crime Watch Coordinator, Mareta Glover the main crime happening in our area are unlocked cars that are mainly parked in the streets.  We know there have been other issues in our neighborhood recently but very few major crimes.  As always be alert and if something looks suspicious you can always call 911 for them to check it out. Thanks!

HTNA Membership

Each month, the Highland Terrace Neighborhood Association sends out a newsletter (just like this!) to keep you informed about things happening around our city and neighborhood. Some of these events are even organized by the neighborhood for the neighborhood. The only way we are able to organize these events is because some of you are paying members of the HTNA.

While the newsletter is free, membership does have a cost. For only $15 a year per household, you can help our neighborhood continue providing community opportunities for years to come. Please consider joining today, and invite a neighbor to do the same!
